We wish we could have stayed longer! Barbara was an excellent host! Very responsive. The home was spotless, and comfortable. It had everything we needed and we loved the spa-like bathrooms and showers! Thanks again for your hospitality. I highly recommend this place.

The house is beautiful and in a peaceful and private location. We were in town for a navy graduation and the house was very close to the base. There were restaurants, shopping, and Lake Michigan within 20 minutes of the house. Barbara sent detailed information for check-in and check-out. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

"A group of nine came in for a Navy boot camp graduation. Barbara’s place couldn’t have been more perfect! The spaces are large for gathering , yet there is plenty of room to grab a spot for personal time. The outdoor area is large, relaxing, and where we spent most of our down time. Our Sailor wanted a home cooked meal. The kitchen is large enough for several people to be in, and is incredibly well stocked! If you are considering this space for boot camp graduation, every place you need to be (Sarge’s Meet and Greet, and the base) is within 15 minutes. I would absolutely stay again! Thank you, Barbara!"

"This place is an entire vibe! My family were in town to celebrate with our sailor. The backyard was peaceful, poolroom/entertainment area was nice and there was a fully stocked kitchen since she wanted to stay in the first night of liberty. Definitely recommend!"

"Our family of 7 enjoyed a relaxing weekend while attending my son’s Navy Bootcamp Graduation ceremony. The location was close to the base and very close to grocery shopping and other amenities. The home was incredibly spacious, inparticular the large basement/game room, which was a life and sanity-saver for the kids and parents alike. 🤩 The home was clean and comfortable and in quiet location."

"Wonderful house. Had a family reunion and was not disappointed. Place is as advertised. More than enough space for our entire group of 11 people.
The host Barbara is very responsive and thorough.
Would absolutely consider coming back here. Barbara, thank you again for everything!
P.S. my group stayed in this house during the severe “bomb cyclone” snow storm that hit the Chicago area in December 2022. The house was well maintained, heater worked great, and had enough games and recreation for our entire group to hunker down and have a good time."

"Had such a lovely stay at this property. The host’s house had all the necessary things to achieve a nice respite from city life - with the large backyard space, we were able to enjoy and appreciate the quietness that came from staying here. Our family particularly enjoyed the three seasons room. It was such a wonderful way to start and end our days listening to the birds and trees singing. Our host was incredibly responsive and such a delight to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this place 1000 times over. We hope to be back soon!"
