"We had a wonderful stay at Galvan Acres 1. The minute you drive into the beautiful driveway, you are in awe by the beauty of the grounds. It was a quick 30 minute drive to the naval base, where we picked up our sailor. Less than 10 minutes to the train station where we took a round trip ride into Chicago. In Chicago, we enjoyed the navy pier, millennial park, and explored the city! It was an easy 1 hour drive to Wrigleyville where we saw the Cubs win 1-0! Our most favorite activity was enjoying the home. We had a family movie night - speakers make you feel like you’re in a theater! We had s’mores around the fire pit! Used the grill for a nice outdoor family meal, and played lots of outdoor games. Our kids spent most of their time enjoying the games in the basement! They also listened to music and had dance parties in the basement. The kitchen is a wonderful workspace! Beds were comfy and plenty to spare! Welcome gift was a wonderful touch! Our boys loved the candy and we all enjoyed the popcorn during movie night! The owner, Barbara, was so accommodating! She even sent us exact information on the train schedule so we wouldn’t get lost! I HIGHLY recommend you stay at Galvan Acres properties if you ever visit the Chicago area! We are already looking forward to our next trip! Don’t forget to snap your pic with the sombrero!"
